JOZSEF CSELENYI, Foreign Member of AESS from 2002, University of Miskolc, was born in Miskolc 16th September 1936. He received his education in Miskolc, and obtain graduate status at the Faculty of Heavy Industry, Technical University of Miskolc in 1960. He received university PhD degree in 1969, and national Dr.Sc. degree in 1980. He was elected for assistant professor in 1969., for associate professor in 1976., and for full professor in 1984. In 1984. he was elected for the chairman of the Department of Mechanical Handling and Logistics. From 1989. till 1994. he was Vice – rector of the University of Miskolc for scientific and international cooperation. From 1994. up to 2001. he was Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Miskolc. From 2001 he is the president of the Research Center for mechatronics and metallurgy of the University of Miskolc. He is married and father of a child.

Scientific and professional activities of professor Cselenyi involve the following issues: analysis of dynamic behavior of mechanical handling devices, automation, and design methods of mechanical handling machinery, design methods and automation of material handling systems, modeling of logistic systems. He published more than 300 scientific and technical papers in Hungary and abroad. These papers were cited over 60 times in journals. He was the co-author of three books concerning Material Handling and Logistic. He was supervisor of 15 university PhD thesis and 8 national Dr.Sc. dissertations.

He received honorary degrees Dr.hc. of Technical University of Kosice (Slovakia) in 1992., Dr.hc. of Technical University of Harkov (Ukraine) in 1995., Dr.hc. of Technical University in Azov (Russia) in 1997., and honorary professor of Technical University in Kluj – Napoka (Romania) in 1998.

He is member of Scientific Society of Hungarian Mechanical Engineers (GTE), He is president of Department of transportation technique of GTE, and vice-president of national Council of GTE from 1992. GTE is the member of Hungarian association of engineering and natural sciences– MTESZ. MTESZ is member of FEANI (European Federation of National Engineering Associations) from 1990. He is president of the Regional Society of mechanical engineers from 1992. He is member of the Committee for Mechanical Engineering of MTA (MTA - Hungarian Academy of Sciences) from 1992. He is president of MTA Committee for Mechanical Engineering from 1995. He is member of MTA Sub - committee for logistics from 1997. He is foreign member of Ukrainian Academy of Sciences for ecology and logistics from 1998., and Ukrainian Academy of Sciences for transportation machinery from 1999.He is one of the thirty seven invited members of European Conference of full professors from the field of transportation technique and logistics, from 1980. He organized the summit of these professors in Miskolc in 1994.He is member of editorial scientific board of international journal GEP (Budapest), president of scientific board of the journal Eszak-Kelet-Magyarorszag from 1992. He is member of national committee for dissertations and habilitations. He is member of editorial board of RUL encyclopedia. He was member of numerous scientific committees of international scientific conferences, and also the member of international scientific committee of the International Conference on Material Handling and Warehousing, which was held during last 20 years at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade. He is member of national committee of TEMPUS program, and member of Hungarian Sub – committee for science and technology.

He received following awards: Pattantyus Abraham Geza Award (1989.), Researcher medal of Fraunhofer Institute from Germany (1992.), Gabor Denes Award (1993.), Apaczai Csere Janos Award (1995.), University Jubilee Golden Medal (1999.), Szecheneyi Professorial Prize (1999.), PRO FAKULTATE University of Sent Istvan (2001.), PRO UNIVERSITATE University of Miskolc (2001.).

Professor Cselenyi has the intensive cooperation with the Department of mechanization of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade and with SMEITS (Serbian Society of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers). This cooperation was not interrupted even during sanctions against Yugoslavia. He had several presentations of his research work on Yugoslav scientific conferences, and had invited Yugoslav professors to have lectures in Miskolc.

Professor Cselenyi have the very intensive cooperation with the Hungarian industry and multinational companies, where he was coordinator of researches, or he was the main designer or supervisor in many projects, where will be cited only the most important:• Development and dynamic analysis of trolley for cranes (DIGEP);• Development, dynamic analysis, and development of methods for testing of roller and belt conveyors (OBV, Matraaljai Szenbanyak, Banaya Terv);• Development and design of system of ropeways (HAFE, Intranszmas); • Modelling of dynamic phenomena and calculation of storage machines (VEGYTERV, KOGEPTERV); • Development of software for design of material handling systems in industry (Gepipari Technologiai Intezet, KGM, OMFB); • Improvement of transportation systems in flexible manufacturing and involving of CIM (OMFB, G6 Program, VIDEOTON, DIGEP); • Development and design of automatic – robotized transportation systems (VIDEOTON, Csepel Egyedi Gepgyar, Elektronikai Vallalat Gyongyos, OMFB, KGM); • Design of storage system (Gepipari Technologiai Intezet, Intranszmas, HIM);• Development and design of logistic system (Electrolux Hitogepgyar, Raba Sarvar, Hajdu Rt., IBM Szekesfehervari Gyar, Philips Szekesfehervar, TEKISZ, Prec Cast, TAURUS); • Development of logistic system (COMPAQ); • Design of logistic system for recycling of waste products of domestic electric components (3 EUREKA projects).

ЈОЖЕФ ЧЕЛЕЊИ, инострани члан АИНС од 2002. године, редовни професор Универзитета у Мишколцу, рођен је у Мишколцу 16. 09. 1936. године. Школовао се у Мишколцу, где је и дипломирао на Машинском факултету Техничког Универзитета за тешку индустрију 1960. године. Титулу универзитетског доктора наука стекао је 1969. године, а националног доктора наука 1980. године.За доцента је изабран 1969. године, ванредног професора 1976. године, и редовног професора 1984.године. 1984. године изабран је за шефа Катедре за транспортно машинство и логистику. Од 1989. до 1994. године био је Проректор за науку и међународну сарадњу. Од 1994. до 2001. године био је Декан Машинског факултета у Мишколцу. Од 2001. године налази се на месту председника Истраживачког центра за мехатронику и металургију Универзитета у Мишколцу. Ожењен је и отац једног детета.

Научне и стручне области којима се бави професор Челењи обухватају следеће: анализу динамичког понашања, аутоматизацију и методе пројектовања транспортних машина, методе пројектовања и аутоматизације транспортних система, развијање математичких модела логистичких система. Објавио је преко 300 стручних и научних радова у земљи и иностранству. Ови радови су цитирани преко 60 пута у часописима. Коаутор је три књиге из области транспортног машинства и логистике. Био је ментор 15 универзитетских доктората и 8 националних доктората наука.

Почасни је доктор Техничког универзитета у Кошицама - Словачка (1992. године), почасни је доктор Техничког универзитета у Харкову – Украјина (1995. године), почасни је доктор Техничког универзитета у Азову – Русија (1997. године), почасни је професор Техничког Универзитета Клуж- Напока – Румунија (1998. године).

Члан је Научног друштва мађарских машинских инжењера (ГТЕ), председник је оделења за транспортну технику GTЕ, и потпредседник је националног Президијума ГТЕ од 1992. године. GTЕ је члан мађарске асоцијације инжењерских и природних наука – MTESZ, а преко њега и члан FEANI (Европске Федерације Националних Инжењерских Асоцијација). Члан је Комитета за логистику МТЕSZ од 1990. године. Председник је покрајинског Друштва машинских инжењера од 1992. године. Члан је од 1992. године Комитета за машинство Мађарске Академије Наука – МТА. Председник је Комитета за машинство МТА од 1995. године. Од 1997. године члан је Поткомитета за логистику Мађарске Академије Наука. Инострани је члан Украјинске академије наука за екологију и логистику (1998. године), и Украјинске академије наука за транспортно машинство (1999. године).

Један је од тридесет седам чланова по позиву Конференције редовних професора Европе из области транспортног машинства од 1980. године. 1994. године организовао је научни скуп тих професора на Машинском факултету у Мишколцу.

Члан је научног одбора међународног часописа GEP (Будимпешта), председник је научног одбора часописа Eszak-Kelet-Magyarorszag од 1992. године. Члан је националног комитета за докторате и хабилитације. Члан је уређивачког одбора РУЛ енциклопедије. Био је члан већег броја научних одбора међународних научно-стручних конференција, а између осталог међународног одбора International Conference on Material Handling and Warehousing , која се одржавала на Машинском факултету у Београду у току задњих 20 година. Професор Челењи је одржавао двадесетогодишњу интензивну сарадњу са Катедром за механизацију Машинског факултета у Београду и СМЕИТС-ом. Ову сарадњу није прекидао ни у време санкција. У неколико наврата држао је предавања на научно-стручним конференцијама у нашој земљи, и позивао професоре из Југославије да држе предавања на Универзитету у Мишколцу.Професор Челењи је остварио плодну сарадњу са мађарском индустријом и мултинационалним компанијама, где је био руководилац истраживања или главни пројектант у низу пројеката, од којих се наводе најзначајнији:• Развој и динамичка анализа колица транспортних машина (DIGEP); • Развој, динамичка анализа и развој метода за испитивање ролганга и тракастих транспортера (OBV, Matraaljai Szenbanyak, Banaya Terv ); • Развој и пројекат система жичара (HAFE, Intranszmas ); • Моделирање динамичких појава и прорачун регалних дизалица (VEGYTERV, KOGEPTERV); • Развој компјутерских програма за пројектовање транспортних система у индустрији (Gepipari Technologiai Intezet, KGM, OMFB ); • Побољшање транспортних система флексибилних транспортних система и увођење CIM (OMFB, G6 Program, VIDEOTON, DIGEP ); • Развој и пројекат аутоматског – роботизованих транспортних система (VIDEOTON, Csepel Egyedi Gepgyar, Elektronikai Vallalat Gyongyos, OMFB, KGM ); • Пројекат складишног система (Gepipari Technologiai Intezet, Intranszmas, HIM ); • Развој и пројектовање логистичких система (Electrolux Hitogepgyar, Raba Sarvar, Hajdu Rt., IBM Szekesfehervari Gyar, Philips Szekesfehervar, TEKISZ, Prec Cast, TAURUS); • Развој логистичког система (COMPAQ); • Пројекат логистичког система за рециклажу отпадних домаћих електричних и електронских компоненти (3 EUREKA пројекта).
